The cute red mare ain’t feeling so good
Her back hurts worse than it should
She’s said her prayers and confessed her sins
But the pain’s still there, she just can’t win

She’s still on earth though it feels like hell
Why is there bad? Why not more good?
and so much that can’t be understood
She remembers the days she took for granted
When the hurt was gone and her mind was free
Moments she thought weren’t temporary
Stills from a time without worry
She remembers her friends
And thinks of them fondly
But shays away for her hurt is deep
Bonds that made her extraordinary
But still she asks “Why? Why me?”
The cute red mare is feeling quite good
She hurts no more as she hoped she would
She says her thanks and goes outside
Relieved to seek and not to hide
The world looks different to her now
The colors and views nature endowed

Her friends ask her where she was

They giggle and laugh thinking her silly
Not knowing weeks before were hard

They look confused
